Glendale, CA Lessons

I have been living in Glendale for a little over two months. There are a few things that I have learned from my little time living here. One of the things, is that taking Brand or Central to get to the freeways on the weekends are a terrible idea. Another thing that I have discovered is that a lot of people walk to and fro places in Glendale. This is a far cry from Simi Valley where no one walked anywhere. Glendale may also have the worst drivers in the world. Actually, scratch that, Alhambra has the worst drivers in the world. Glendale is a very close 2nd. People simply do not know how to drive in Glendale. I honk my horns atleast once everytime I drive to or from work. To give you a sense of how significant that is, I live 2.8 miles from work.

City LIfe

Sorry for ignoring the blog. It's weird to say, but I have been pretty damn busy as of late. My apartment is feeling more and more like home as the days go bye. Nearly everyday, I learn something new about cooking, cleaning, general maintenance, etc. It's been great living in a different city and experiencing city life. I don't eat out nearly as much as I like to, but maybe that is because I enjoy cooking and learning how to cook. There are a plethora of restaurants here in Glendale, and neighboring cities that are begging to be tried.

The thing that I enjoy the most about moving out is simply living close to work. My commute is 2.8 miles as opposed to 35 miles (before I moved out).
